The Program
The International PDS in Siena, Italy (IPDS Siena) program provides opportunities for teacher education students to engage in student teaching experiences at authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) schools that are partnering with Buffalo State and the International School of Siena in Italy.
IPDS Siena includes two 8 week (approx.) student teaching experiences Buffalo and Italy. Participants work with a student teaching supervisor, meet with teachers and students, live with host families, tour communities, and delve into the IB education model. Participants meet at Buffalo State during the fall and spring semester for pre-travel activities, research, and cohort development. |
The Participants
As they transition through the various adventures of their teach & study abroad experience, participants share moments, visions, and thoughts through journal entries and photographs. Read about each participant's adventures and perceptions on their individual blog pages. Share your comments, questions, and supportive words as you peruse...and stop back often!
IPDS Siena is open to all Buffalo State currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate elementary, exceptional, and secondar education students who will be student teaching the corresponding semester. Applications are accepted through the School of Education Office of the Dean. Visit the Buffalo State IPDS program page for application deadlines and information.
