The International PDS in Siena, Italy program provides opportunities for teacher education students to engage in student teaching experiences at two authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) schools that are partnering with Buffalo State – Makowski Early Childhood Center in Buffalo and the International School of Siena in Italy.
IPDS Siena Student Teaching includes approximately 10 weeks of student teaching in Buffalo and 8 weeks abroad each spring semester. Participants work with a student teaching supervisor, meet with teachers and students, live with host families, tour communities, and delve into the PYP education model. Participants meet at Buffalo State during the fall and spring semester for pre-travel activities, research, and cohort development.
IPDS Siena Student Teaching is open to all Buffalo State currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate elementary education students. Applications are accepted through the School of Education Office of the Dean. Visit the Buffalo State IPDS program page for deadlines and application information.
